Promoting moral and ethical values, as well as defending life from conception to natural death, are just some of the goals and objectives that the new parish group of the Parrish Santa Maria de El Calzado will initiate. The name of this group will be "Our Lady of Czestochowa, the Pilgrim Mother of Poland".
The creation of this new group arose thanks to the visit of the Pilgrim Icon from Czestochowa to the parish community of El Calzado, on August 31. The Icon travels the world carrying a pro-life message - an action so important for society. The pastor, Fr. Jorge Ardila who made this possible together with the faithful and members of the apostolate groups established this new group to continue promoting the rights of unborn children, values and life.
Fr. Jorge Ardila assured that the parish community is happy and joyful for the abundant blessings that Our Lady of Her Pilgrim Icon has brought to the parish, for what it also described as "miraculous". "Our aspiration is that the Icon of Our Lady remains in our church, we will wholeheartedly ask so that Her presence remains in El Calzado and in our hearts", he concluded.
